The application was granted, but Thompson will be suspended from practice till the hearing. WHEAT PURCHASE PRIDES. Wellington. April 7. An extraordinary Gazette has be«n issued amending the wheat trade regulations of 191 ft, clause sixteen whereof is revoked. The following clause is substituted: "Government brokers will buy good milling wheat on account of the Government at the following prices:— Good milling wheat grown in South Island and elsewhere than in the provincial districts of Nelson and Marlborough: (1) To be sold for delivery free on board at neaTest port, (a) January, February, March or April, 1919, 6/6 bushel, '(b) In May, 1919, 6/6Jd (c) fn June, K>l9, -6/7 (d) in July, I'fllfl, G/7Jd- (e) In or after August, 1910, 0/8. (2) To be sold for delivery otherwise than free on board at nearest port: (n) Price equivalent as regards seller to prices aforesaid: (b) good milling wheat grown in North Island or in the provincial districts of Nelson and Marlborough. (!) Sold for delivery free on rail at nearest railway station, same price as that fixed by subclause a. For good milling wheat grown in the South Island (elsewhere than at and Marlborough) and sold for delivery f o.b at nearest port, with an additional 4d per bushel. ('2) Sold for delivery otherwise than free on rail at nearest railway station, a price equivalent, as regards sellers, to the price aforesaid. RAISING THE WIND. Oamaru, Last Night.
