BRUTAL MURDERS. London, April 6. General Allenby has given the details concerning the murder of two British officers and five men, which took place on a train from Upper Egypt on March 1™ Crowds collected at every station and threw stones. The train was rushed at Deirout by a crowd who pulled I down the engine driver, entered a compartment and killed two officers. Several Natives remained on the train until it arrived at Dermos, where another large crowd armed with sticks, stones, and knives attacked the train, killing the remainder of the party- All Ww bodies weTe left on the train, with the exception of one which was missing. Crowds at subsequent stations raised shouts of joy on learning that the English had been killed.—Aus--N.Z. Cable Assn.
