REPARATION.

WHAT IT MEANS. Received April S, 12.30 a.m. London, April 7. The Daily News Paris correspondent states that the "Big Four" have decided to demand reparation according to the principle set down in the Allied note of November 5. This has been a most vexed question. Its settlement will do much to compose the differences over the other problems. France is really more interested in this than in Rhi'neland or the Saar basin. Though the new wave of optimism may not be justified, there does at least seem to be a prospect of the early production of the draft treaty.—Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assoc.
