ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
KILLED INSTANTLY. ChrLstchurch, Last Night. .Tolm Thomson, a well known resident of Killinchy, was thrown out of his trap and killed instantly. LEVEL CROSSING FATALITY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, April 5. George Sidney Connor, a married man, was knocked down by a train at the King Street level crossing at Newmarket last evening and died this morning. MOTOR CYCLING FATALITY. Wellington, April 5. Harold St. John Jones, the driver of a motor cycle and side chair), from which Alfred Arthur Amyes was thrown, hear Kaituna, on March 25th, sustaining fatal injuries, was well enough this morning to attend the adjourned inquest. In giving evidence, he said that when approaching the corner of the road (i dog rushed out, and in trying to avoid the dog he swerved off the good part of the road .m to shir.gle. which was pretty deep, and the cycle seemed to slide along for a few feet, and then overturned. A verdict was returned to ,the. effect that Amyes died as the result of an accident, and that the evidence did not disclose negligence in driving
