ARMISTICE
THE POLISH TROOPS, OTHER ROUTES TAKEN, Received April 6, 55 p.m. Paris, April 5. The Germans have agreed to allow the Polish troops to use Danzig as a landing place.—Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assoc. Received April 7, 11.5 p.m. London, April 5. Paris reports that a telegram from Marshal Foch at Spa says he formally upheld the Allies' right under the armistice to land Polish troops at Danzig. He decided to use other routes the Germans suggested because it would hasten the troops' arrival.
London, April 6. Negotiations at Spa were only partially successful. Marshal Foch insisted on landing some troops at Danzig, but the majority would go through other ports, including Stettin and Konigsberg. The agreement reached at Spa provides that General Haller's troops shall cross Germany at the rate of ten trains daily.—Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc. Received April 6, 5.5 p.m. Paris, April 4. Hen 1 Erzberger had a forty-minutes interview with Marshal Foch at Spa. He quitted the train looking deeply affected. —Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assoc. DELIVERY OF GERMAN SUBMARINES. Received April 6, 5.5 p.m. London, April 5, The Germans have delivered 157 submarines, and only one remains undelivered.—Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assoc.
