EVERYBODY'S. MATINEE TO-DAY. A SCREEN DRAMA FULL OF ACTION AND THRILLS. How Sally Castleton, played by Viola Dana, becomes involved in the grim business of the night riders through the entrance of her sweetheart into the masked band; the night attack on a toll-gate; a mysterious slaying with Sally's trial and conviction as the murderess —to be saved from the gallows at the last minute—are incidents in "Riders of the Night," a Metro all-star j series picture, which shows this after- ! noon and to-night at Everybody's. Throughout it is a photodrama full of breathless suspense and compelling force. THE PEOPLES' KITTY GORDON IN "THE INTERLOPER." There is a distinctly original motive in the World drama, "The Interloper," in which Kitty Gordon has place of honor. The theme is that of a young widower who remarries and who foolishly persists in holding up his first wife as a model of all goodness. It comes to the knowledge of the second wife that the first one had been the very reverse to what her husband had thought her. And the man who had led this first wife into the paths of unfaithfulness was the husband's best friend to all outward appearances. The situations are very dramatic and reach a high state of intensity when the second wife goes to the apartments of "the other man" to obtain proof of the real life which the model first wife had led. It is undoubtedly the beat picture in which Kitty Gordon has so far appeared and will greatly enhance her reputation as an actress of strong emotional calibre. The settings are luxurious and the' dresses were specially designed to do justice to the famous figure of the star. The. latest Gazette, Travelog, etc., are also on the bill. To-day's matinee commences at 2.
