AVIATION IN NEW ZEALAND.

RAPID AND IMPORTANT 2ROGRESS. (From Our Own Correspondent). Wellington, April 2. The object of the British Air Ministry in sending four first-class aeroplanes, two Bristol fighting craft and two passenger carriers, to this country is to introduce the Government and people of New Zealand to aerial machines of the latest type. The Air Ministry, as most people know by this time, is distinct from the War Office and the Admiralty. "The Army, the Navy and the Air Force," is the correct designation of the King's fighting forces today. The Air Ministry is looking far beyond the bounds of the United Kingdom and is planning to link itself with aerial departments of the Dominion forces, in the same way as the Imperial Navy and Army are already linked with their respective services throughout the Dominion. The details of organisation have still to be studied, but rapid and important progress may be anticipated.
