REDUCTION EXPECTED SOON. London, March 25. The secretary of the Australasian Merohants' Association, interviewed, said that, provided the rates were reasonable, lnerchfantß would prefer a steady system of freights. The conference had hitherto maintained this, and offered all the tonnage required. Merchants ttere urging a reduction of the present high rates, which was expected during the nex't few months.
