The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile report : At Opunake on Monday we had a fair yarding of cattle, which sold at the following rates: Fat cows £ll 14s, forward cows £8 10s, stores £0 16s to £6 18s, bulls £6 3s to £9 2s Gd, 2-jear-old heifers r.w.b. £6 lis to £6 18s, 18month heifers rw.b. £4 10s, weaner steers £2 13s, weaner heifers £1 10s to £2, mixed weaners 38s to £2 lis, store pigs 31f, slips 15s, fencing posts Is 6d. At Manala on Tuesday we had an average yarding of cattle which sold at late rates. Fat cows made £lO Is to £lO 19s, forward ctiws £7 6s to £? 12s Od, store cows £5 19s to £6 12s, bulls £8 17s 6d to £l4 12s 6d, springing heifers £9, weaner heifers 38s, mixed weaners £2, cows and calves £5 17s 6d, lambs 103 *d, weaner pigs lis to 16s, sundries at ruling prices. Ml At Warerley we had a gtfßU yarding of cattle which sold well at the following rates: Pat cows £lO 16s to £lO 17s, forward cows £7 2s 6d to £9 ss, stores £'. 5s to £6 10s, cows and calves £5 17s, small backward cows and calves £1 15s, bulls £5 to £7 ss, 3V-year bullocju £l4 Is 6d, 2%-year steers £8 13s to £ll 2s 6d, 18 to 20-month steers £5 to £6 3s, 18-month heifers £3 15s to £5 10s. At Palmer Hoad on Friday we had a good yarding of cattle which changed hands at the following rates: Fat cows £lO 2s to £ll is forward cows £8 10s to £9 18s, storu £4 lis to £7 7s, 29-month Jersey heifers in calf £8 to £8 17s 6d, weaner heifers £2 to £2 17s mixed weaners £2 18s.
