ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
INQUESTS AT INVERCARGILL. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Invercargill, March 31. At the inquest on Edward O'Toole aged 15, telegraph messenger, a verdict of accidentally shot while taking a pea rifle to pieces was returned. The evi dence showed that after firing a fe\v shots he rested the muzzle against his abdomen and was unscrewing the loci; when the gun went off. At the inquest on Archibald Crai.s. killed in a motor collision, a verdict of accidental death was returned. The deceased was riding on a motor-cycle and on turning a corner ran into a car on the main road. He sustained a fractured skull and leaves a widow and five children.
