CUSTOMS RETURNS.
COLLECTED AT NEW PLYMOUTH. The net Customs duties collected at New Plymouth for the month just closiiuj amounted to £5998 los 3d, compared with £2917 8s 7d for the corresponding month of last year. The beer duty collected during the month amounted to £302 13s 3d, against £l9l 15s Id for the corresponding period last year. The Customs duties for the quarter ju«t ended amounted to £15,309 14s Id. compared with £13,252 lOd for the March quarter last year, and the beer duty realised £705 0s 3d, against £473 6s 2d. The total revenue for the quarter was £16,356 4s sd, against £14,215 3s lOd for the corresponding, period of last year. The Customs duties for the financial year just ended totalled £56,232 16s 2d, compared with £48,415 8s 4d for the previous year. The beer duty totalled £2237 7s, against £2035 9s 9d, and the total revenue from all sources for the ypar amounted to £59,427 6s 7d, compart with £51,490 12s 7d for the year 1917-18.
