CHURCH UNION. | Sydney, March 26. The Methodist Conference unanimously endorsed the basis of union of the Presbyterian, Methodist and Congregational Churches, and decided that the minimum stipend for married ministers should be £260 annually. MINERS' TROUBLES. Sydney, March 26. The Miners' Delegate Board has instructed the miners on the south coast to discontinue the "drag" system—the restriction of the amount of wage* earned. The Broken Hill miners are demanding a minimum wage of 20s daily, a 30 hours' working week 1 , and equal time for men and Koys.—Aus.-N-Z. Cable Assti. BRISBANE DISTURBANCES. Brisbane, March 26 Returned soldiers attacked the Daily Standard newspaper office, calling upon the paper to apologise to the soldiers for certain remarks published. Several shots were fired and windows broken. There were no casualties. A meeting of returned soldiers and sympathisers carried a resolution calling upon the Government to deport the Bolsheviks and Senator Ferricks, otherwise steps would be taken to remove them.
