Hawera Club are not very pleased at the banner finals being delayed till April In conversation with Mr. Fqy, a prominent Hawera bowler, he informed a Daily News representative that his club desired to meet New Plymouth a week earlier. In fact Hawera were more keen on playing against New Plymouth than Pihama. Jtfofc that the Pihama players are not good sports, but against New Plymouth they can have a 7 or 8 rmk match and "get a lot of fun out of it," and then the winners can have the tworink game against Pihama. He did not favor the all-day game either, so if New Plymouth are agreeable Hawera would prefer the match a week earlier, and in that case it would be played next Wednesday, the winners meeting Pihama on Wednesday or Thursday, according to the day which suited best.
