EVERYBODY'S. MARY GARDEN IN "THAIS." A GORGEOUS AND REMARKABLE PICTURE. The second appearance of Mary Garden, the famous prima donna, takes place in the big drama spectacle "Thais," which will be shown for the first time at Everybody's to-night. She scores a decided triumph in. this magnificent Goldwyn production, which as a picture vividly portrays her strong personality. The great wealth of decorative charm preserved throughout the picture is bound to attract the notice of ail who see the film, and most people will readily acknowledge that the author and thß picture-maker have joined forces with unusually satisfactory results"Thais" is the story of a great struggle between the desires of the flesh and the spirit. It is the story of the reclamation of a passionate, selfish dancing girl's soul by a Christian, who has to overcome not only her earthly desires, but his own for her. In the first parts of the picture Mary Garden is seen in gorgeous gowns and amid magnificent settings, but towards the finale, when Thais has abandoned her glittering robes, and in the simple gown of the sisterhood has sought peace and spiritual cleansing, Miss Garden strikes a sincere and appealing note. The film, is remarkably well produced and will rank with the greatest of motion picture masterpieces. j

THE PEOPLE',?, ETHEL CLAYTON IN "JOURNEY'S END." The fine World drama "Journey's End," now running at the People's, has attracted a great deal of interest. The atory is of a husband whose love wavered and whose wife used a most daring device to win him back. Muriel Ostriche and Frank Mayo are among the supporting players. TOM MIX WEDNESDAY. The great favorite, "Tom Mix," appears on Wednesday in his latest wiW west picture, "Cupid's Round-u»." Tom has proved himself to be the greatest cowboy favorite. A snn/rm.l matinee will commence on Thursday at 3.30 p.m.
