On the town green on Saturday after- , noon Fitzroy made such a poor showing , at two rinks in the Gilmour Cup match . with New Plymouth that the visitors . were defeated by 45 points. Higgs went jl down badly to H. Smart, and the Fitzi. Roy Club's president was only able to ( score 7 against Bary's 43. Before the p heavy shower Luscombe was badly down, & but the deadening effect on the green enabled him to make a good recovery. t Fitzroy is now out of the running for the . Cup.
