V.A.C. MEETING, Received March 20, 7.45 p.m. The weather was fine after light showers. Nick-a-Jack won the Hurdles for the third year in succession, being ridden by George Scobie, who once trained at Riccarton. The favorite, Sir Ibex, finished brijjiantly in the Lloyd Stakes and beat Molly's Robe in the final furlong. He ran the last three furlongs in 3tS%sec, Dempsey being in the saddle. The Autumn Handicap was an interesting race. Boontree had a big lead in the early stages, but missed his place. Accrington looked the winner at the dis r lance, but Parkdale won in the last halffurlong. Elkin ran out in the finish of the Nursery. In the Governor's Plate the final mile was a fast run, the last half mile taking ulfsec. Snub, third favorite, pulled up well. De Gaina finished sixth in the River Handicap.—Aus. and N.Z.
