Amery, Under-Secretary for the Colonies, discussed the draft of the Emigration, Bill, which is regarded as satisfactory. LORD MILNER. Received March 20, 10.15 p.m. London, March 19. Lord Milner lias returned to Paris. AUSTRALIA'S DEFENCE. Received March 20, 10.15 p.m. London, March 19. Mr. Pearce goes to Paris to consult Mr. Hughes. The main purpose of his mission is to ensure that the Australians shall be repatriated as speedily as possible, lacking nothing, thus preventing the men returning disgruntled. Mr. Pearce declined to discuss the Marconi offer or the prospects of securing a larger share of the shipping.—Aus. X.Z. Cable Assoc.
