Her sweet, winsome little smile and a thousand and one little ways which are all her own, make her character portrayals most appealing in every way. Her artistry is given full play in the latest Goldwyn picture, "The Face in the Dark," which was shown at Everybody's Theatre last night. The bank is robbed, and the daughter's lover is arrested for the crime. The girl lias inherited from her father all the keen qualities that have made him famous as .a detective. She is convinced that her lover is innocent, and sets out to discover who is the real perpetrator of the robbery. The manner in which she escapes from this terrifying predicament makes ft gripping climax to an absorbing story. There is a supporting programme of fine subjects, making in all one of the best "changes" given at Everybody's for some time.
