NATIONAL MEDICAL SERVICE.

FRIENDLY SOCIETY RESOLUTION. At yesterday's conference of the district Oddfellows, P.P.G.M. Bro. C. D. Sole moved that the Board of Directors be requested to bring before the Government the question of nationalising the medical service of the country and also the public hospitals of the Domiaion. The mover pointed out the changes in conditions which wore taking place throughout the world and that the poorest members of the community had the fight to demand from the State the best medical and hospital attendance obtainable He further showed that under a nationalised system the membership of lodges would be increased, and the chances of the workers would be improved. Scores of people, for financial reasons, were unable to obtain that which was their due in the matter of medical and hospital attendance The motion was seconded by P.P.G.M. Bro. Snowden and carried unanimously.
