WANGANUI SHOW. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wanganui, Last Night. The Wanganui Show, postponed from November, was opened to-day. The entries were smaller than usual, but the quality of some of the exhibits was very creditable. Championships—Shorthorn bull, William Cooper; cow, John Donald. Jerseys: Pull, John Elder; cow, Harry Hodge. Pigs: Tarn worth boar and sow, Mrs. J. Wall; Berkshire hoar and sow, Mrs. J. Wall. Lincoln ram and ewe, R. C. Sharpo.
TAUMARUNUI SHOW. Taumarunui, Last Night. The Taumarunui show was held today. There wis fine weather. There were small entries of sheep, but a good show of cattle and hordes, and numerous entries for the horse events. Champion dairy cow, H. J. Borek; best gentleman rider, M. McLean; best lady rider, V. McMillan; best lady rider in Taumarunui district, V. McMillan. The jumping events were won by A. E. Anderson, P. Wootten, W. Kelland, and Troy.
