- FIGHTING IN BERLIN. SPARTACIST FORCE MARCHING ON OITY. Copenhagen, March S. The casualties in the city fighting in Berlin aw estimated at l.io killed anil 500 wounded. Aeroplanes dropped bombs on the royal mews, blowing up the building which the Spartacists and marines were defending. BERLIN STRIKE DISORDERS. A THOUSAND CASUALTIES. Received March 10, 8 p.m. Amsterdam, March 0. About a thousand* were killed and wounded in the Berlin strike disorders, especially Marines and Republican Guards, who led the Spartacist attackers. Many Spartacists were arrested. The Spartacists at Halle pillaged and wrecked shops and houses. They drowned many officers and university students and threw motor cars into the river. After severe fighting the Government troops gained control. The Government troops surrounded Leipzig. The Spartacists are entrenched outside the town, which aviators are bombing. The Workmen's and Soldiers' Council at Berlin decided to terminate the general strike conditionally upon none being punished, the troops withdrawn, and the prisoners arrested during the riots released.
