LEAGUE OF NATIONS DRAFT. ATTITUDE OF SENATE. New Y'ork, March -fc The Washington correspondent of the Evening Post points out that close observers about the capital consider that Senator Lodge's list of 37 Senators objecting to the present draft of the League of Nations is merely a warning to the American peace delegates that they must consider the wishes of the Senate. The correspondent adds that small changes in the draft would cause many of the 37 to approve of it, thus destroying the possibility of formidable opposition by the Senate. The correspondent concludes that it is unlikely the Senate's proceedings of the past week will have an effect on the actions of the Peace Conference.—Aus. and N.Z. Cahle Assoc.
