SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIPS. Results: 100 Yards Ladies' New Zealand Championship Miss G. Shand (Christchurch) 1, M.ss D. P. Farquhar (Auckland; present holder) 2, Miss O. Edenborough | (Auckland) 3. The race was one of the [finest ever seen in Christchurcli. Won by (half a yard. Time, 77 4-ssec. 880 Yards Boys' Intermediate Championship—C. E. Low (Christchurch) 1, H. Anderson (Wellington) 2, V. H. Reid '(Wai.'ganui) 3. Von Sturmer (Auckland! also started, but retired at the twelfth lap. Won by six lengths. Time, ,13mm 4. r >2-ssec. This is a New Zealand reeo.d, the previous best time being 13 min 502-osee. 331-3 Yards Ladies' Tntcr-Club Handi-cap.--Miss J. Rigg (Wellington) 1, Miss Aiken (Wellington), 2. 200 Yards School Girls' Championship. —He'.ts were won as follows: First heat, Miss V Wallrond (Auckland) 1, Miss V. ißrofiie (Wellington) 2; second heat, Miss': .M. iSomis (Christchurch) 1, Miss A. Calmer 'South Canterbury) 2. In her heat the present champion—Miss V. Wallrond (Auckland)—boat her own record of 89 3-aspc by over seven seconds. The final will be swam to-morrow night.
THE CHAMPIONSHIPS. Wellington, Last Night. At the swimming conference a delegate moved that the resolution allotting the championships to Otagn next year be rescinded and that the championships be allotted to Auckland. An amendment was carried to give Otago two months to declare whether it was willing to carry out the championships.
