Word was received yesterday by the officials of Whiteley Church, that in the first draft of the stationing sheet, tb* Methodist Conference had appointed the Rev J. Napier Milne to succeed the Rev VY. Sinclair as superintendent of the New Plymouth circuit. Mr Milne recently arrived from England, coming to New Zealand, on medical advice, on account of his wife's health. He has held Borne of the more important circuits in the Old Land, including appointment* in London and Glasgow.
