A WIN FOR AUCKLAND. By Telegraph.—Presa Association. Wellington, Last Night. Tiie Auckland-Wellington match was concluded in fine weath.ii to-day, and resulted in a win for the visitors by 58 runs. Wellington's first innings closed for 120. Auckland scored 159 in their second innings, Hemus being top scorer with .'i>J. Briee took nine Auckland wickets for (i 7 runs. Wellington, who required to get 256 to win, succeeded in making only 197, of whicii total Hutehings, who carried bis bat, scored 74. Coates took three Wellington wickets for 48, and B. Garrard 5 for 84 WELLINGTON DEFEATS WANGANTJI. Wangiti-iiii, Last Night. The cricket match was concluded todya in glorious weather. Wellington continued their innings wi'h three down for 274, and were nil out for 419, additional score? of note being: Patrick 38 and Donoglme 43 not out. Luxford took 8 wickets for 78. Wanganui's second innings realised 181, the bust scores being: Ellerm. not out, 47: Atkinson, 31; Orton, 30. Wanganui were defeated by an inr.-ngs and 35 runs. Hiddiestou took nine wickets for 60.
