CHRISTCHUROH SITTINGS By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christehurch, March 3. Before the Industries Committee, T. Waddell said he knew the Kailway Department had applied for permission to export 400 tons of steel scraps which could be prepared and treated in the Dominion. Mr Anderson, MP-, waited on the committee in regard to the development of the shale deposits of Southland. The chairman saiid the committee would carefully consider the matter.
