ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
< A TERRIBLE DEATH. By Telegraph.— Press Association, Auckland, Last night. A native named Retani, who was wildhorse catching on the < Ige of the Hauraki Plains, became entangled with • rope round a young horse which, bolting, dragged the man about 20 chains in the open. Then the horse took to the tiirec, being finally pulled up "by the mail's body catching in the scrub, where he was found unconscious. He succumbed shortly after, his skull being fractured and most of the ribs broken. A verdict of accidental death was recorded at the inquest.
