INFLUENZA EPIDEMIC.
A WORLD'S CONFERENCE SUGGESTED. SIX TYPES RECOGNISES Received Feb. 25, 5.5 p.m. New York, Feb. 24. An eminent physician, interviewed in London, said a world's medical congress should be convened to study the influenza, six types of which had been recognised during the epidemics. DEATHS IN MELBOURNE. Melbourne, Feb, 25. Thirteen deaths from influenza are reported, making the total 455. Received Feb. 25, 9.30 p.m. Melbourne, Feb. 25. Eight more deaths are reported from influenza—Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assoc. RESTRICTIONS LIFTED IN NEW SOUTH WALES. Received Feb. 20, 1.50 a.m. Sydney, Feb. 25. A special Cabinet meeting decided to remove all outdo^ - restrictions in connection with the influenza epidemic. The wearing of masks in the streets is not to ue enforced, but they must be worn in trams and trains, and on ferries. The embargo on racing has been lifted, and the opening of theatres and hotels will be considered on Friday.—Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assoc.
