NEW PLYMOUTH SHOW.
MARCH 5 AND 6. The 44tli annual stock show of the Taranaki A. and P. Society will take place on the beautiful grounds of the Society at Waiwakaiho, New Plymouth, on Wednesday and Thursday, March 5 and 6. The entries received, besides being numerous, are of a very high standard, the stock to be exhibited being among the best in the Dominion. The competitions which always form one of the main attractions so far as the public are concerned, have drawn excellent support, good competition being assured in all these events. Townspeople generally and settlers throughout the district are displaying much more interest in the forthcoming fixture than has been the experience during the period of the war. Very much more financial assistance has been forthcoming thus proving a practical sympathy with the efforts oi the Society and with the very largely increased membership, too, there should be a record crowd at the show next week. The ladies are again in charge of the catering arrangements, quite a sufficient guarantee of the success of this important part of the function. Luncheon, afternoon tea, soft drinks, ices, fruit, etc., may be purchased on the grounds, the. proceeds of which go towards the funds of the Society. The New Plymouth Citizens' Band has been engaed to provide the music on Thursday afternoon, and an excellent programme will be rendered. Readers should bear the show dates in mind— Wednesday and Thursday, March 5 and 6.
