ENTERTAINMENTS.
THE DANDIES. The second performance of that clever, talented and versatile company known as the Dandies, took place at the Empire theatre last night, and some time before the entertainment comencod it was necessarj- to fill every available space with extra seating accommodation, the theatre !>eing "taxed to its utmost capacity, and the standing room was all taken up. It was a bumper house, demonstrating the popularity of the entertainers and the eagerness of the public to be entertained in just that bright and enjoyable manner for which the Dandies have deservedly obtained such a high reputation. Every item 011 the programme was accorded generous applause, and each member of tile company either sc-ored a personal success or assisted in conjunction with others in giving immense pleasure. There is little to add to the detailed report of the initial performance, except to say that various items appeared to appeal to the audience with even greater eclat than on the previous occasions, and it must have been a great source of satisfaction to the Dandies to be so heartily applauded and to hear such spontaneous laughter as was evoked at their humor. It is not too much to say that the present company is the hest of its kind that has toured the Dominion The final appearance of the Dandics tcl-es place to-night, when a complete chance of programme will be provided, so that another crowded house may be expected.
