WANGANUI TROTTING MEETING. SECOND DAY'S RESULTS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wanganui, Last Night. The Wanganui Trotting Club's second day was held in glorious weather, there being a large attendance. The totalisator handled £18,210, as against £12.221 for the second day in 1917, making a. total of £35,708, as against £24,250 at the 1917 meeting. Results: INNOVATION HANDICAP .-5 Plain Bob 1, 2 Wee Bell 2, 3 Lady Morland 3. Also started: 1 Plain Rose, 4 The Bath, 8 Rosina Elect. Won by two lengths. Time, 3min 41 2-ssec. TRAMWAY HANDICAP.—9 Galvanita 1, 2 Inora 2, 3 Zita 3. Also started: 7 Lord Lytton, 4 Stone Beldon, I Lucy Wallace, 10 Our George, 2 Lady Seftoii, 8 Wild- Daisy, 0 Elmo Junior, 5 Annie Black. Inora led Galvanita and Zita to the turn for home, where Galvanita went to the front and won easily by a dozen lengths, Zita the same distance away. Time, 3min 57sec. WANGANUI STAKES.—I Star Queen 1, I Warlock 2, 3 Citadel 3. Also started: 8 Red Prince, i) Jewell Wood, 0 Lovelock, 4 Sudite, 5 Kate Zolock, 7 Lady Burlington. The order past the stand'was: Star, Queen, Kate Zolock, and Warlock. This order was maintained until the turn for home, when Citadel took third position. Star Queen won with ease by half a dozen lengths, Red Prince being fourth Time, 4min 491-ysec. EASTBROOK HANDICAP.—6 Maqueda 1, 4 Rio Grande 2, 2 Lady Esma 3. Also started: 4 Meritorious, 5 Bobbie 8., 1 Peter Zimmerman, 7 Capillose, 2 Peter Bell, 8 Finella, 3 Desmond. Maqueda got smartly off the mark, and led from end to end, winning comfortably by half a dozen lengths, Lady Esma being a dozen lengths away, followed by Copillose and Bobbie B. Time, 3min 56 2-5 sec. STEWARDS' HANDICAP.—3 William the First 1, 1 Monica 2, 2 Plain Rose 3. Also started: 4 Dixie Lee, 5 Jimmy Richmond, 7 Sirene, S Taikorea, 9 Lady Sefton, G Wee Bell, 10 Lady Foster, William the First led into the straight and won comfortably,' Plain Rose being a bad third. Time, smin lsec. Lady Sefton brought down Wee Bell, with whom she collided going out of the straight. BALLANCR MEMORIAL STAKES.— 2 Rio Grande 1, 4 Peter Zimmerman 2, 1 Bluewood 3. Also started: 7 Peter Bell, 6 Sweet Memory, 5 Roe Bell, 3 Norinica Heir. Rio Grande had the race well in hand, and he ran home an easy winner by several lengths, a close third. Time, 4min 59 1-osec. The winner had a great reception. FINAL HANDICAP.—7 Rejoice 1, 4 Inora 2, S Sudite 3. Also started: 10 Lord Lytton, 2 Lovelock, 2 Van Coronado, 1 Eagle Abbey, 5 Woodland Rose, 6 Stormy Way, 11 Sirene, Wee Winnie. Stormy Way and Rejoice led to the home turn, where Inora came through, but was unable to catch Rejoice, who won eas.ijy by several lengths. Sudite, Stormy Way Eagle Abbey were in a bunch.
