In the Rutherford case, in. which Colonel Rutherford is charged with having shot Major Seaton, Mrs maid uave evidence that Rutherford refused to allow men's photographs in the house. lie was subject to outbreaks of unreasoning temper. A fewdays before Rutherford arrived from France his wife gave witness Seaton's photoeraph which had been in her dressing-room, and told her to put it in witness' bedroom.
