THE SENATE'S RIGHTS. Washington, Feb. 21. Senator Sherman asked the Senate to pass a resolution requesting the President not to submit the League of Nations proposal to the public until he has submitted it to the Senate. Washington, Feb. 21. Owing to the alleged presence of grain diseases the Department of Agriculture is considering the prohibition of imports from Australia, japan, India, France, Britain, Brazil, Belgium, and Germany. The prohibitio will apply also to rye, barley, oats and rice.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
