'" In the House of Commons, during the committee stage, the Government accepted an amendment in the Re-election of Ministers Bill limiting freedom from re J , election to a. period of nine months after a general election. EXCLUSION OF UNDESIRABLE ALIENS. Received Feb. 20, 8 p.m. London, Feb. 19. Mr. Shortt stated that a Bill dealing with deportation and exclusion of undesirable aliens is to be introduced shortly. If it was true that over 20,000 enemy and other aliens were at present in Rotterdam waiting with the object of returning to England as soon as peace is signed, his present adequate powers for excluding the aliens would be used.— Rcuter.
