HIS CONDITION SATISFACTORY. Paris, Feb. 20. The condition of M, Clemeuceau is satisfactory. FUETHER DETAILS. Keceived Feb. 21, 5.5 p.m. Paris, Feb. 20. ' Fuller details show that M. Clemenceau was driving in the streets when the would-be assassin sprang from a public conveyance and fired five times, but only one shot hit the Premier The police seized the assailant, but not bofore he fired two shots at them, wounding two. The crowd would have given him a bad time had not the police removed him quickly. The Premier's chauffeur was slightly wounded. Cottin is a native of Compeigne. The physicians announce that M. Clemenceau was hit in the posterior part of the right shoulder. The wound is a penetrating one without visceral lesion, The patience general local condition is perfect.—Reuter. RESULT OF X-RAY EXAMINATION, Received Feb. 21, 5.5 p.m. Paris, Feb. 19. An X-ray examination shows that a bullet entered M. Clemenceau's lung. The patient's general condition is good. —United Service. IN GOOD SPmiTS. STATEMENT BY ASSAILANT. Received Feb. 21, 5.5 p.m. Paris, Feb; 20. M. Clemenceau is in very good spirits. He sent the following message to Mr, Lloyd George: "I am doing very well." His assailant is a working-man syndicalist. Ho confessed that he considered M.
