THE INSURANCES. j By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The insurances on the Thames Hotel total over while there is also it policy against rent losses, which cannot be estimated. The figures of the insurance on the stock and fittings are unascertainable. It is difficult to assess the amount of damage, but the two top floors were practically ruined, and the ground floor flooded inches deep with watef. Young's mercery shop next door was damaged by water It was insured for £3OO. Evans, a fruiterer, also damaged by water, was insured for £'2oo. THE VICTIM IDENTIFIED. Later. The victim of the fire in the Thames Hotel was Wm. M'Gir.n. aged €3. Ho was a native of Ireland, aud came .to Auckland this week from Taihape. P. N. JoneSj a returned soldier, of Stratford, was badly burnt on one foot. Mrs P. N. Jones sustained burns on the chest, chin and right arm, and is suffering from shock.
