RETURNING SOLDIERS.
«50 BY THE MATATUA. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Matatua, with returning draft No 213, arrived this morning, and anchored in the stream. Permission waj given to berth her at 10 to-morrow morning, when the troops will disembark. Tho draft comprises <>so officers and other ranks The Matatua left the United Kingdom on Sth January, and came via Panama. The Ruapehu. with draft 214, is expected this morningRUAPEHU EXPECTED TO-DAY. Wellington, Last Night. The Ruapehu with troops is expected to berth here to-morrow at 4 p.m. Auckland, Last Night. The troops brought by the Mamari, e\' Nestor from Melbourne, landed this afternoon. All the 150 men aboard came from Palestine and were malaria convalescents. There were no cot cases. The Mamari was declared a "clean" ship after 24 hours in quarantine.
