AUSTRIA.
union WITH GERMANY. ONLY COURSE OPEN. Received Feb. 20, 5.5 p.m. New York, Feb. 17. Herr Otto Bauer, Austrian Foreign Minister, interviewed in Vienna, said that Austria desired union with the Danube Federation, but this was impossible now, because the other members of the old empire, including the Czechoslovaks, did not wish for union; therefore it had now become necessary for Austria to join Germany.—United Service.
