SCHEME BEING RECONSIDERED. by Telegraph.—Press Assoeh.tion. Wellington, Last Night Last session of Parliament passed the proposals of the Minister l'or Defence for the payment of a bonus to soldiers on the basis ot service in the Expeditionary Force, overseas. A rumor that is now current that authority has been given for the payment of the service bof.us t> officers who are still overseas was mentioned to Sir James Allen to-day He denied that such action would be taken, and stated that the amount to be paid to individuals had not been fixed. In fact the whole scheme was being reeon sidered ,and it is possible that alterations may he made.
