Only 978 ratepayers «( the 2440 on the roll exercised the frantlie. 2445 on the roll exercising the franchise. The streets loan proved not quite us popular as that for the electrical extensions, the majority in the latter case being just over 100 more than that by which the former wae carried. Bellringer, town clerk) and his deputies carried out their duties well, and the arrangements made worked smoothly throughout the day. Following are the details of the voting! STREETS LOAN— £IO,OOO.
