AUCKLAND STOCK MARKET. The Sew Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report:— At Westlieid store sale last Thursday we had a full yarding of both dairy and store cattle. Quotations on a par with late rates. Best dairy cows and heifers £l2 to £l7 ss, others £8 10s to £ll Ms, bulls £7 to £l3, empty cows and heifers £7 to £!) ss, calves £1 to £2 10s, yearling to 18-montii steers £4 15s to £8 10s, do. heirers £3 las to £U. On Friday, at Clevedon, we had a largo yarding of both cattle and sheep, and report a good clearance at satisfactory prices. Empty cows and heifers £0 10s to £U. fat cows to £l3, hulls to £lO lus, good calves to £2 15s, others £1 upward, yearling to 18-month heifers £4 to £0 10s, do. steers £5 to £7 ss. Sheep: Four-tooth ewes £1 as to £1 6s, f.f.m. ewes £1 3s to £1 5s 6d, f.m. ewes 183 to £1 2s, wethers £1 7s 6d, woolly lambs 14s 9d to £1 3s, shorn lambs 10s to 14s. At Hendorson on Monday wc iiad an average yarding and report a good sale. Dairy cows and heifers made from £7 to £ll. cmpiy cows and heifers £0 lo £8 10s, yearling to 18-niomh heilers £3 los lo £O, bulls £0 to £lO 10a. At PuHekoiie on Tuesday wc had a large yarding of all classes of stock, best dairy cows and heifer* made from £l2 to £lB 10s, others £8 10s to £ll 15s, bulls £5 5s to £ts 15s, according to weight and quality. No grown steers were yarded. Tiiree to 3% -year steers £lO 10s to £l2, 2 to 3-year-old steers £8 to £lO 7s sd, yearling to 18-montli steers £4 103 to £7 15s, steer calves, best £2 10s to £3 10s, others £1 5s to £2 7s, heifer calves £1 5s to £2 7s, heifer culve3 £1 5s to £2 ills, interior calves 10s upwards; yearling to 18-month heifers £3 15s to £0 as. heifers suitable for dairy purposes £5 5s to £7 15s, empty cows and heifers £0 10s to £9 2s Od. Heel was penned in large numbers and sold at fully Weslneld prices, fat cows selling to £l4 17s lid and steers to £lO 17s lid. I)n Wednesday, at Westfteld fat stock market, beet was penned in average numbers, selling under spirited competition at late rates. Choice ox sold to £2 lis per 1001b, others £2 8s to £2 10s, cow and heifer beef sold at from £2 9s to £2 lis per 1001b, steers sold tit from £l3 10s to £2l 155." Cows and heifers sold at from £8 to £lO ss. Calves were yarded in full numbers, and prices were a Utile easier than litst quotations. No good runners In. neavy vealers made from £2 17s Od to £4 ss, medium £2 Ds to £2 15s, light £1 12s Cd to £2, small and fresh-dropped 4s to £1 ss. Well-done calves are wanted. Sheep were penned in less than average numbers. There were few pens of extra good sheep, and for prime ewes and wether 3 prices advanced. Xo iieavy-woiidtts were yarded. Best wethers £1 13s to £l"i(;s (Id, others £1 3s to £1 i2s Ud, best ewes £1 8s to £1 lis Od, others 18s to £1 7s Lambs were penned in smaller numbers than usual, and advanced in prices. Best made from £1 5s to £1 lis 3d, others £1 Is to £1 4s ltd. Pigs were yarded in large numbers. Competition was keen, and prices showed a slight improvement. Heavy bacontrs £4 15s to £5 Iris, light £4 to £1 Ms, large porkers £3 to £3 15s, medium £2 5s to £2 10s, small £1 8s to £2 2s, ueiiners 15s upwards.
