ARMISTICE
INDEFINITE EXTENSION. PREVIOUS TEEMS TO BE CARRIED OUT. THREAT OF NEW WAR BY GERMANS. I Received Feb. 17, 5.5 p.m. Berne, Feb. 16. Treves advices state that the armistice has been extended indefinitely. The additional terms require the Germans to cease the offensive against the Poles. Their troops must not pass a line starting at the Russian frontier to west of Luisenfeld, passing west of Gooss Neudorif, aonlh of Brzoza, north of Schubin, north of Exin, south of Sainatohin, south of Schooziesn, north of Czarnikau, west of Sliala, Birnzaum, Rentschen, Vollslein, and Leisha, north of Fiennchou as far as the SilesianRussian frontier. Three days' notice of denunciation must be given. The previous terms of the armistice must be carried out till completed. Paris, Feb. 1(5. Interviewed at Weimar, Herr Erzelierger declared that if the pourparlours for the extension of the armistice broke down there would be a new war.— Reuter. REQUEST FOR DELAY. FOCH'S REPLY. Received Feb. IS, 1.30 a.m. Vancouver, Feb. IG. Herr Erzberger asked for delay to sign the armistice. Marshal Focli replied: If not signed by 0 o'clock on Sunday he would be obliged to leave Treves, as the armistice was no longer in force. —Pieuter. RUSSIA, BOLSHEVIKS ROUTED. The isti-Bolshevik volunteer urmy is making fine strides in the Caucasus, and is advancing on both banks of the Tenek towards Vladikankaz. They captured Grozny, which was strongly defended, and 800 prisoners were taken. Further north, aTlcr routing the main Bolshevist forces north of the Caucasus, the volunteers passed within twenty-five yards of Kisliar. —Reuter.
