(From Our Own Correspondent.) (All communications, letters, etc., left with Mr H. J. KopKlna, bookseller, will receire crompt attention.) Stratford, Feb. 14. The annual meeting of the Stratford A. and P. Association executive took place on Thursday evening when there were present: Messrs J. W. .Boon (President), A. H- Huggett, 11. Dingle, W. Pettigrew, T. Aylward, C. Jackson, E. Linnell, T. Reader, H. Harrison, and T. Waite. The matter of appointing ft judge for the draft horses was left in the hands of the chairman of the Hor»« Section and the Secretary- It was decided to issue luncheon tickets to the band. The farm committee were recommended to have the grass cut and were empowered to employ labor. The appointment of a second night watchman was left in the hands of the President. The executive decided to pay the cost of benzine for cars conveying helper? to the grounds. The President was asked to secure a man to milk cows. Mr MGall (Toko) was elected a member. A working bee is to be held on Monday in order to complete necessary work in preparation for Wednesday and Thursday, and a good muster of members is requested. Stratford was well represented at the Hawera races to-day, the bookings from the station by train totalling 250, whilst a large number journeyed by car.
