NAVAL GRATUITIES. LIBERAL ALLOWANCES. Received Feb. 14, 1.50 a.m. London, Feb. 12. The Admiralty announces that gratuities to the Royal Navy and Royal Marines, ranging "from £720 to £2OO for admirals, and from £l4O to £2O for other officers for the first year's service, with increments ranging from £3 to 10s for each additional'month's service. Officers of the Naval and Volunteer Reserves will receive a gratuity of 100 days' pay for each subsequent year.—Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assoc, and Reuter. DEPORTING ANARCHISTS. Received 14, 12.55 a.m. Washington, Feb. 12. It is announced that seven thousand anarchists, Bolsheviks, and I.W.YV. members will be deported. Pietre Pierre, the J.W.W. leader, has been arrested in connection with the conspiracy to kill President Wilson.— Reuter. NAVAL PROGRAMME. Peceived Feb. 14, 12.55 a.m. Washington, Feb. 12. The House of Representatives, by 194 to 142, approved the three years' naval programme and adopted the entire Naval Appropriation Bill. —Aus. N.Z. Cable Association.
