'TO EXTENDING DEFINITION OF "DISCHARGED SOLDIER." By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Mr. E. Newman, M.F., has been in communication with the Minister of Defence, with the object of getting the definition of "discharged soldiers" under section 2 of the Repatriation Act extended so as to include men who had received orders to proceed to camp, and had arranged their private ca'ai.s in order to be able to do so, but failed to aotually enter camp before the armistice was declared. The iiinister laa replied that he will be pleased to have the matter referred to the Repatriation Board.
