Foley has won his games against S. Sharp and J. Masters whilst W. McDonald also defeated Sharp. Writing of the Taranaki Tournament, the Hawera Star says:—The tournament ■was enjoyable, but extra long drawn out. Owing to the weather two-thirds of a day was lost, but allowing for this, when a tournament occupies a whole week and extends into the next, it becomes a question for business men and men in. situations in the country districts whether they can afford to enter.
