T HE MINERS' DISPUTE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Greymoutli, Last Night. The Disputes Committee investigating the Blackball strike is sitting to-day.' A conference was also held between the sawmillers and employees. Regarding the recent dispute, a coal miners' deputation left for Wellington this morning with reference to procuring a medical officer. The State Mines will remain idle meantime. RAILWAY SERVANTS GRIEVANCES Wellington, Last Night. The Minister for Railways will meet representatives of the Locomotive Engineers, Firemen, and Cleaners' Society to-morrow to discuss the demands for increased wages and improved conditions in the service. The conference will bo strictly private, and the Minister has informed a reporter that nothing would be available for publication for some time, as the views of the AS.RS. and Railway Officers' Institute would have to he obtained at similar conferences before even the proposals could be framed.
