CONFERENCE WITH BOLSHEVIKS. | ABANDONED BY THE ENTENTE. Paris, Feb. 10. There is little hope of the success of the Marmora scheme solving the Bolshevik problem. So far the anti-Bol-shevik C-overnments refuse to go to the Marmora Conference, and only the Bolshevik leaders agree. They agreed apparently with the view of negotiating with the delegates of the Allies, but M. Pichoa informed journalists that if the Bolsheviks imagine this is the view ofi the Peace Conference they were mistaken, m tne meeting was always intended merely as a means of conversation between the divided Russian powers with a view to their submitting a basis of agreement to the Entente, and was by no means to be regarded as a conference between the Entente and Kussia. The breakdown of the project must also be regarded as a blow to President Wilson's belief that such questions may be settled by a compromise based on idealism. Seemingly the Kussian differences are too acute for compromise and too bitter for idealism.
