ANNUAL MEETING. The postponed annual meeting of the New Plymouth branch of the W.C.T-U. took place on February o, when reports of all of the departments of work were read and confirmed. The adi.it membership now stands at IU2; honorary members 10; cradle roll 3uU The cradle rod is under the energetic management 01 Miss a. Atubury, and is the largest of all of the rolls in the Dominion. Evangelistic work, iiome meetings, blaek-'blocks and literature, white ribbon paper, and press-work have all been worked with good results The treasurer's report was read and adopted; a good balance is in hand. Patriotic work has been the outstanding work of the year. One hundred and ten pounds have bejn collected* for Mart Day, Mine-sweepers, and Y.M.C.A. Hutment f''uud. Several teas have been given at the Soldiers' Club. The officers lor 191'tf arc Mrs Allan Douglas, president; Mrs Griffin, secretary;' Miss Taunt, treasurer; vice-presidents, Mrs 0- Blundeil, Airs Sieveriglit, and Mrs Mclsaac. It was announced that the Wood Templar Lodge room would be turned into an o , lk'i , > during the liquor referendum campaign, to be open each week day from i to 5 p.m. except Saturdays, when it will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 pm, All members were urged to call at the lodgeroom to .se-j that people who will be away visiting on April 10 are supplied with absent voters' permits, and to see that all names of voters are on the electoral roll, which will close on March 5.
