There is a Difference in the Quality of Basic Superphosphate. A Grade Basic Superphosphate, £9 5s per ton, contains a very large proport ion of soluble Phosphates, B Grade Basic Superphosphate, £7 15s per ton, is entirely insoluble. At the Stratford Experimental Farm last season, Swedes grown with A QUALITY Basic superphosphate gave the 2nd heaviest crop. I have also received excellent reports from farmers who have applied it as a top-dressing for pasture* B Grade Basic Superphosphate is composed entirely of INSOL* ÜBLE PHOSPHATES and consequently cannot be expected to give anything like as satisfactory results, and IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ROOT CROPS OR WHERE A QUICK GROWTH IS DESIRED When comparing prices this must be borne in mind.
